Metabolism and Bodies

A whole lot of stuff added into this one.

Critters are now made up of substances which can be eaten.

Critters now have metabolisms which can heal specific body structures back into place after they are damaged.

Metabolisms also draw off of internal body energy reserve materials in order to take actions such as moving and reproduction.

The materials/substances used for actions do not need to be the same, as an example the Clover cannot reproduce until it has built up a stock of seeds, where as the Buns need to build up a fat reserve before they can begin gestating.

You can now see inside the properties of the critters by hovering your mouse over them and watch as they fill up their stomachs.

I’ve also disabled Saving and Loading for the time being.

Get into the the build here.

  • WASD or Arrow Keys to move camera.

  • Mousewheel or + and - keys to zoom in and out.

  • Left click to place a selected Critter.

  • Right click to setup links (these are now invisible due to removing the debug display)

  • C & H for controlling temperature (now invisible without debug display.

  • Escape key to quit the application.
